There are four ways of look at this:
- Linking the project to the module academic requirements
- Identify how your project will advance research and understanding within the field
- Identify what personal challenges you will face (knowledge, skills, sample gathering etc…)
- All of the above
Academic Requirements
- List all learning objectives/ outcomes and under each one list how your project will achieve the outcome
- Make reference to previous learning opportunities/ modules to show that you are drawing against and using previous knowledge
Advance Research and Understanding
- Making reference to other peoples research:
- Indicate how your findings will support current thinking and processes within the field
- Indicate how your findings will challenge current thinking and processes within the field
- Indicate how your findings will open new avenues of research within the field
Personal Challenge
- Indicate what knowledge will be required for the project
- Indicate if you have this knowledge
- Indicate how you will acquire this knowledge
- Indicate how the knowledge will support your future employment/ academic opportunities
- Indicate what skills will be required for the project
- Indicate if you have these skills
- Indicate how you will acquire these skills
- Indicate how these skills will support your future employment/ academic opportunities
